Aaron Bomback is primarily responsible for municipal planning, land development and regulatory approval processes to prepare text amendments and updates to municipal statutory plans (IDPs, MDPs, ASPs, ARPs), land use bylaws, reviewing and processing subdivision, rezoning, and development permit applications. He also provides design concepts and planning advisory work to clients in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
Aaron has worked as a Planning Coordinator and Demographic Lead on projects involving pre-application requests, annexation and growth studies, municipal census reports, park master planning, GIS analysis, and land supply inventories. All projects involved delivering professional customer service and ensuring planning recommendations align with statutory plans and non-statutory policy initiatives. Aaron is passionate about continuous learning and is focused on applying new ways to integrate policy development, geospatial analysis, and landscape design across disciplines.
Aaron has been working as a Registered Professional Planner and Researcher for engineering companies, the University of Manitoba, University of Calgary, Lac La Biche County, the City of Calgary, and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in different categories since 2012.
Due to his experience in development approvals in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, Aaron brings knowledge of Alberta’s planning legislation and regional growth plans, while offering his expertise in land use planning, landscape architecture, and geospatial analysis to support B&A’s customized planning services and solutions to clients.
