The B&A Planning Group has frequently assisted Tsuu t’ina Nation with land use planning since 2003. The planning, advice and site design work was largely centred around the Province of Alberta’s proposed South West Ring Road. Leading up to the October 2013 Tsuu t’ina Nation vote in favour of building a portion of the road on their lands, B&A assisted the Nation through the creation of land use plans and concept plans. These plans, which outline potential commercial, industrial, health services and recreational land use areas seek to seize on the positive opportunities presented by the construction of the Ring Road. In addition, the land use maps created by B&A for Tsuu ti’ina Nation provided the baseline land use framework for the land valuation assessments and negotiations with the Province of Alberta.
