Urban Design Continues to be a Focus at B&A

Urban design has been a core service area at B&A for years and we are excited to expand our capabilities with the addition of Geoff Dyer who will fill the position of Strategic Lead in Master Planning and Urban Design.

Urban design focuses on shaping and building streets, neighbourhoods and public spaces to create functional and appealing communities. B&A has offered urban design expertise for over x years, and with Geoff’s leadership it is our intent to continue to bolster our reputation as design experts.

Geoff comes to B&A with extensive experience designing and implementing sustainable, walkable, unique communities. He is a regular educator, lecturer, and writer on the subject of sustainable urbanism, urban design, and alternative land use regulations and development standards – particularly form based codes and the SmartCode. Geoff holds a Master in Environmental Design (Urban Design) from the University of Calgary, is a Knight Fellow in Community Building from the University of Miami, is accredited by the United States Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A), and is a member of the New Urban Guild.
