B&A Welcomes Two New Planners To Growing Team
B&A is thrilled to welcome two new Community Planners to the team, Joanna Ilunga and Lauren Armeneau. As 2021 has brought many exciting new opportunities to the team, Joanna and Lauren will support the team in building upon its service offerings to support our diverse client sectors’ various and unique needs.
Joanna (pictured left) joins B&A from Toronto, bringing with her expansive knowledge of eastern Canada. The University of Toronto Grad holds a Master of Science in Planning and an Honours Bachelor of Arts specializing in Political Science and Peace, Conflict, and Justice. In addition to her impressive academic accolades, Joanna’s volunteer efforts include a position as a student representative for the University of Toronto Transportation Alumni Network (UTTAN) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) committee for the Graduate students in the Geography and Planning Student Society (GGAPSS). Joanna’s knowledge of eastern Canada and her bilingual background will support B&A’s cross-Canada clientele. In her spare time, Joanna enjoys creating curated playlist, reading, watching foreign films, and exploring the city for the best pastries.
A graduate of the University of Calgary’s Master of Planning program, Lauren (pictured right) joins the B&A team with experience working with municipalities in Alberta and British Columbia. Growing up in Calgary, Lauren has a firm grasp of the City context and a commitment to finding creative solutions to planning problems. With interest in urban design and the public realm, Lauren’s experience will support the team in facilitating planning solutions across Canada. During her down time, Lauren can be found playing with her puppy, drawing, crafting, or watching a movie.
