B&A Supports 2019 APPI Conference

The Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) is hosting its annual conference in Fort McMurray from October 6 – 8, and B&A will be there as a sponsor, vendor and presenter.

This year the conference is focused on Celebrating Strength, and Senior Planner Patrick Wetter is giving a presentation on a recent project that does just that.

“My presentation draws on B&A’s experience on the Greystone project, a recently approved 140 acre Neighbourhood Plan that will guide the redevelopment of the former Burnswest Gravel Quarry located adjacent to Cochrane’s downtown,” Patrick explains. “The presentation will demonstrate how Greystone was designed around the strength of its surroundings to bring local meaning to its unique setting by connecting and integrating the various adjacent uses and amenities together into a complete community.”

Representatives of the Town of Cochrane will join B&A to deliver the presentation.

If you are attending the conference, you can take-in Patrick’s presentation on Monday, October 7, at 3:30pm.

APPI is a professional regulated organization under the provisions of the Professional and Occupational Associations Registration Act of Alberta, responsible for certifying members to achieve “Right to Title” and thereby are legally entitled to use the Registered Professional Planner – RPP designation.
