Congratulations to Liyang Wan, this years’ recipient of the Gregory Brown Entrance Scholarship in Planning as she pursues her Master of Planning at the University of Calgary.
Valued at $4,000, the scholarship supports students that are pursuing planning and design-related education – an annual grant created by B&A’s founder Greg Brown. This is the 13th year a student has received the scholarship.
B&A Partner Vern Hart manages the scholarship on behalf of Greg Brown (following his retirement), and says, “This truly is a legacy that speaks to Greg Brown’s commitment to the planning profession, and B&A is proud to continue to offer it. Our hope is that those that benefit from this scholarship go on to be great community builders and catalysts of innovative and sustainable change.”
The University of Calgary awards the scholarship to either one, or two (two awards valued at $2,000) students that demonstrate outstanding academic achievements in the planning and design fields.
Alyson Kenward, Director of Stewardship at the University, says, “Thank you to B&A for supporting student awards. You are among an inspiring group that supports and empowers our remarkable students. Your generosity and commitment to recognizing student success plays a vital role in helping our best and brightest achieve and exceed their goals.”
