For the 14th year, B&A has granted, what has become known as, the Gregory Brown Entrance Scholarship in Planning to a deserving University of Calgary student.
The annual scholarship, was created in recognition of B&A founder Greg Brown, supports students that are pursuing planning and design-related education, and is valued at $4,000.
Congratulations to recipient Tina Dadgostar who is in the first year of her Master’s degree in Planning.
“I was very excited to learn that I have been selected and I am appreciative of your support of my education,” Tina says. “I yearn to play a leading role in generating more ecologically sustainable, culturally engaged, artfully perceived and socially fair and vibrant environments. I hope that one day I will also be able to help students achieve their goals, like you’ve helped me.”
Tina says that the scholarship will help her focus more on her studies and reduce the number of hours she needs to work to support her education.
B&A Partner, Vern Hart, manages the scholarship and says B&A is proud to support another U of C candidate. “It is always exciting to see how the Gregory Brown Entrance Scholarship benefits future planners and community builders. As a firm, we strive to make a difference in the communities we work in and support the planning industry in as many ways as possible.”
