Working in collaboration with an inter-disciplinary team you will provide project support in delivering high-quality, innovative and compelling planning solutions on a wide range of complex projects to our increasingly diverse client sectors.


We are seeking a Community Planner with experience and knowledge of municipal governance structures, community planning, and land development processes in Canada. Your demonstrated understanding of governance, planning, and land development will enable you to advise and assist with the expansion of B&A’s customized planning services and solutions for our growing energy client sector base. Working in collaboration with the B&A team and our industry partners, you will play a key role in the continued growth of our customized services to the energy sector while also being afforded the opportunities to work on a wide range of other complex community and land development planning initiatives.

  • Accredited degree in planning or related field.
  • Membership or candidate membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).
  • Knowledge of municipal governance structures, land use planning, and development processes.
  • 2-3 years of community and land development planning experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to client service.
  • Knowledge of and interest in oil and gas pipeline systems is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS SharePoint and Office 365 integrations is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with GIS and database systems is considered an asset.
  • Critical and systems thinking along with attention and commitment to detail is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual verbal and written fluency in English and French is considered an asset.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
